Marrok Group specialises in Muay Thai training for anyone. We have expert instructors that will teach you Muay Thai skills and disciplines in individually crafted lessons at a dedicated gym for Muay Thai. The camp is carefully assembled by top Muay Thai experts using the core traditions of this centuries-old sport. We’re not just a western gym with Muay Thai lessons, we are a dedicated training camp that is focused on teaching you Muay Thai alone or as part of your MMA program to increase your fighting skillset.
Our state-of-the-art facilities in central Bangkok will also include very spartan training methods that go back in time in order to learn Muay Thai properly.
Our incredibly experienced Muay Thai trainers will be taking you through specialised and niche lessons structured in a way as to maximise your learning of the sport. Our classes have proven results, and you will learn at your own pace and at your own level. We can tailor an individually designed course based on your abilities and goals with classes dedicated to achieving them.
Our dedicated martial arts gym is not a usual western gym with fighting classes. It was built only with MMA in mind so the gym, our instructors and the classes all combine to give an authentic atmosphere for learning Muay Thai. Our training programs will go from basic to the state-of-the-art in order for you to fully immerse yourself in the Muay Thai training environment to prepare you to reach your goals.
Muay Thai, also known as Thai boxing, is a centuries-old martial art and combat sport known for its effectiveness and discipline. At Marrok Group, we offer specialised Muay Thai training with expert instructors. Our dedicated camp focuses on teaching Muay Thai as a standalone skill or as part of your MMA program, providing a comprehensive learning experience.
Our classes are led by qualified and friendly trainers who will guide you through each lesson with clear instructions and feedback. We will also customise your training according to your skill level and personal objectives. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, you will find our classes challenging and rewarding.
No, you don’t need to be fit to start Muay Thai classes, however it is an advantage! We welcome students of all fitness levels and backgrounds. For sure, Muay Thai is a great way to improve your fitness as it can burn up to 1,000 calories per hour and tone your muscles. You will also improve your cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, agility and coordination.
As Muay Thai is a demanding sport that requires your body to adapt to new movements and impacts, so you may feel sore after your first class even if you are fit. Muscle soreness and even bruising are common during your first few sessions although this will subside as you get used to the training.
Of course! Muay Thai is not only for fighters, but for anyone who wants to learn a new skill, have fun and stay healthy. Muay Thai can offer many benefits besides fighting skills, such as stress relief, confidence boost, mental focus and social interaction. You can learn Muay Thai at your own pace and comfort level without any pressure to compete.
However if you do want to test your skills in a competitive setting, we can also help you prepare for that. We have a team of experienced coaches who can train you for amateur or professional fights. We can also arrange sparring sessions with other students or fighters from other gyms.
The frequency of your Muay Thai classes depends on your availability and goals. If you want to see faster results or prepare for a fight, we recommend attending at least 3 classes per week. However, if you are learning Muay Thai as a hobby or for fitness purposes, once or twice per week may be enough.
The most important thing is to be consistent with your training and practice regularly. You will see more improvement if you train twice a week consistently than if you train four times one week and none the next. You should also balance your training with rest and recovery to avoid overtraining and injuries.
Muay Thai is one of the most effective martial arts for self-defense. It teaches you how to use your entire body as a weapon and how to defend yourself effectively. It can prepare you for any situation where you need to defend yourself or others from harm. However, it is not enough to rely on striking skills alone. You should also learn some grappling skills to deal with situations where you are taken to the ground or face multiple attackers. By combining Muay Thai with MMA or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for some grappling training, you will become a well-rounded fighter who can handle any scenario if the need arises.
